The Model PD684 is the general-purpose rate/totalizer offering in Precision Digital's new Loop Leader" line of flexible and attractive loop-powered digital panel indicators. This rate/totalizer can display rate up to five digits and total up to eight digits using the total overflow feature. The display can be programmed to automatically or manually alternate between rate and total.
Everything comes standard on this full-featured rate/totalizer. The competition may charge extra for loop-powered backlighting, programmable exponent capability, and open collector output, but these and a host of other key features are standard on the PD684. For instance, the programmable exponent function can be used to linearize the level signal in open channel flow applications using weirs and flumes and display flow rate and total in engineering units. And the open collector output can be used as a rate/total alarm or as a pulse output based on total.
Even with all the features packed into this indicator, it's still easy to setup and get running. Everything is programmed from the front panel buttons with no pots or jumpers to deal with. In fact, the PD684 can be scaled without a signal source for even quicker setup.
The PD684's shallow-depth case, NEMA 4X front, loop-powered backlighting, and wide operating temperature range means it can be installed in just about any location; indoors or out, bright sunlight or dimly lit control room.
