Description |
Miniature Rectangular Housings |
For space-restrictive applications, the miniature rectangular housing photoelectric sensors allow fast and reliable sensing with minimal housing sizes and with no remote amplifier required. |
Rectangular Housings with Threaded Nose |
With versatile and universal housing packages, the rectangular housing photoelectric sensors with threaded noses allow mounting by the threads on the front flat cylindrical surface or by mounting holes on the rectangular back. |
Rectangular Housings |
Rectangular housing photoelectric sensors can operate at extended sensing ranges and are available in a large variety of housings and operating modes. |
Limit Switch Style Housings |
From modular units like the MP series to the compact housing of the L2 series, the limit switch style housing photoelectrics improve upon the standard mechanical limit switch, with a much longer operating range and a longer life than its mechanical counterpart. |
Rectangular Housing - Classic Style |
Classic model styles. Designed and built to survive the test of time. |
Slot Style Housings |
Slot style, or fork style, photoelectric sensors present a solution for thru-beam applications with simple mounting and low cost. With a full range of slot widths available (from 3/8" (10mm) to 9" (220mm)), almost any web-guide, hole detection, or small parts detection application is easily resolved. |
Distance Measurement |
Photoelectric sensors for distance measurement provide outputs that vary as the distances between targets and the sensors vary. They are particularly helpful for positioning and location feedback applications. |
Sensors for Hazardous Areas |
For use in Intrinsic Safety applications with switch isolators, the photoelectric sensors for hazardous areas permit photoelectric sensing in Class 1 Division 1 environments. Diffused mode, retro-reflective mode, and diffused and thru-beam modes for fiber optics models are available. |
Miniature Cylindrical Housings |
A cost-effective alternative to fiber optic cables, the miniature cylindrical housing photoelectric sensors allow sensing in space-restrictive areas with no additional amplifiers needed. |
Cylindrical Housings |
Cylindrical photoelectric sensors are available in 12mm, 18mm, and 30mm diameter industry-standard housings. See the Miniature Cylindrical Housings section for smaller cylindrical photoelectric sensors. |
Fiber Optic Sensors |
Fiber optic sensors provide a sensing solution for applications involving small targets or unfavorable conditions. Fiber optic sensors and cables can be used in much smaller areas, in harsher environments, and at temperature extremes that ordinary photoelectrics could not tolerate. |
Accessories |
An extensive selection of accessories complement the photoelectric sensors product line, with application-specific fiber optic cables and a broad range of reflector sizes and types now available. |
FE Series |
The FE Series offers a broad range of photoeyes consisiting of modular controls, incandescent controls, and heavy duty style photoeyes and their corresponding accessories. |
Contrast Sensors |
Contrast sensors use colored or laser light sources to differentiate various colors or shades. The color or shade to be programmed can be taught via a potentiometer, a push-button, or a remote teach input. |
Luminescence Sensors |
Detecting inks, greases, glues, paints, and chalks with luminescent additives allows the luminescence sensors to detect targets that regular contrast sensors cannot. Marks on irregular backgrounds and invisible markings are easily sensed by the ultraviolet source sensor. |
Color Sensors |
Pepperl+Fuchs' color sensors identify minute color variations for sorting, positioning, and quality control. Versions are available with up to ten independent color channels on one sensor and fast push-button programming. |
Light Grids |
The Pepperl+Fuchs light grids are arrays of thru-beam sensors in two housings, one for the transmitter and one for the receiver, which greatly simplify mounting for area sensing. The light grids are available in miniature housings as with the PR series (4" (102mm)), up to very long housings for large areas as with some of the PLVscan series (10' (3.1m)). |
Optical Data Couplers |
Immune to noise and cable flexibility restrictions, optical data couplers allow wireless transfer of data communication with an infrared light beam. Optical data couplers are a cost-effective alternative to RF and cable data transmission. |
FE7W Series Collision Avoidance Sensors |
The FE7W series photoelectric sensors are primarily used to help prevent automatic guided vehicles (AGV's) from colliding with objects or persons in their path. These sensors mount on the front and/or back of AGV's operating indoors in a controlled environment. |
