Subfamily |
Description |
Type Y |
Pepperl+Fuchs E-ZY panel mount purge/pressurization enclosure system enables use of standard electrical equipment in a hazardous area by creating a safe area inside the protected enclosure. Our systems allow operation of general-purpose equipment in a Division 2 area, and allows Division 2 rated equipment to be operated in a Division 1 location. Our universal product is suitable for either Type Y or Type Z applications. It is certified according to NFPA and ISA standards for both US and Canadian applications. Our industry-leading systems are easy to install and are constructed with corrosion resistant stainless steel hardware for the ultimate in high quality performance. |
Type X |
The Type X purge/pressurization system from Pepperl+Fuchs creates a safe zone within a Division 1 hazardous location, enabling general-purpose equipment to be used in the hazardous (classified) area. Our Type X system is fully automatic and performs critical purging, pressurization and monitoring of the protected enclosure. A Type X purge system from Pepperl+Fuchs includes a control unit, pressure monitor and solenoid valve package. Our controller can be mounted in a safe area, or directly within the Division 1 location for optimal installation and useability. |
Ex P |
An Ex P purge system allows general-purpose electrical equipment to be mounted inside an enclosure within a Zone 1 hazardous location. This purge system is designed according to Europe requirements; therefore, it can be used for applications throughout the world. European protection methods allow multiple techniques to be used when designing hazardous area equipment. Our Exp purge system consists of a user programmable controller that contains a proportional valve that continuously compensates for flow and pressure changes. This unique feature saves tremendous amounts of valuable purge gas, since flow is automatically reduced when gas is not required. Our system is certified according to the recent ATEx requirements for hazardous area equipment. |
