Ultrasonic
Ultrasonic
Pepperl+Fuchs Ultrasonic sensors operate by using a sound wave frequency. This sensor is often used for liquid level control and sensing clear objects. Ultrasonic sensors are an excellent choice for applications unsuitable for photoelectric sensors. Unlike photoelectric sensors, Pepperl+Fuchs Ultrasonic sensors are unaffected by target color or atmospheric dust. Longer sensing ranges help solve tough applications.

Please contact us for more information on a specific product subfamily in the Ultrasonic product family.

Subfamily Description
Discrete Output  Discrete ultrasonic sensors are available in single or dual point output. Easy adjustments and set-up translate into solving difficult applications in the field- like level control, or accurate positioning at distances that most proximity sensors simply cannot reach.
Continuous (Analog) Output Pepperl+Fuchs Analog ultrasonic sensor gives the user an adjustable 4 to 20 mA or a 0 to 10 V window for increased accuracy. Often used for web detection or level control, our easy to adjust sensor can help solve difficult applications.
Double Sheet Detectors Pepperl+Fuchs Ultrasonic Double Sheet Detectors are used for any application where the distinction between single and double sheets is required in order to protect machinery or avoid waste. Based on the thru-beam principle, the ultrasonics measure the signal attenuation caused by the sheet(s) breaking the beam. The DSD family includes models specifically designed for splice detection and label detection.
